Alia Medeiros
Originally from the Northeast of Brazil, Alia Medeiros has always had an eye for fashion. Raising five kids in Sao Paulo, Alia sold different lines of womens’ and children’s clothing out of her home, and was also the Director of Volunteers at the Hospital do Cancer, one of Brazil’s leading cancer treatment centers.
When one of her daughters married an American, she and her husband decided to emigrate to the US. Upon arriving here, she started her own business. She went on to become a naturalized US citizen. While running her daycare, she grew her business to have three full-time employees while caring for a dozen kids. Confronted with the pandemic, she decided to wind down that business, and move on to the next chapter of her life.
Now she has turned her attention to creating original designs in the form of custom aprons, totes, dog bandanas, table runners and more… All these items are handmade by Alia using select materials imported from Brazil that bring together diverse patterns, colors and textures to create original, one-of-a-kind designs for her customers. In addition to her own designs, Alia also offers customized designs, tailored to her clients’ particular desires.
